and president obama allows women a choice and chance to speak out too. >> too many women are shut out and silenced. while i'm honored to be standing at this podium. it could have been any one of you. >> reporter: from the convention floor, tom sherwood. >> reporter: as noted earlier a number of delegates and others here were disappointed when they changed the venue from the football stadium which holds 73,000 to here in the basketball arena which holds about 20,000. that was a disappointing move but they figured they had no choice because of the storms coming. tomorrow things are going to change around here. there is a lot going on. normally there are thousands of balloons to drop from the ceiling but they didn't have time to string them up. but we're told that the obama's children are going to leave school and come on down here to hear their old man and hear what he has to say tomorrow. and tomorrow we'll expect to see gabby giffords here in the house. you can expect a huge round of applause for her as well. that's it for now. >> i think you could miss school for that. >> reporter: o
